Yungblud found an unusual way to crowd-surf during his Tuesday performance at Portugal’s Vilar de Mouros festival, riding over the audience in a wheelchair while his leg remained in a cast, according to Billboard.
Fan videos from the show captured the rock artist telling the crowd he had broken his leg and had decided not to cancel the concert. He said he chose to show up and keep performing instead.
While being carried above the audience, Yungblud sang “Fleabag,” turning the moment into a memorable part of the set. The song reached No. 15 on Billboard’s Rock & Alternative Airplay chart in 2022.
Yungblud said earlier this month that he had injured his leg in a dirt-bike accident at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally on Aug. 9 and shared photos of the cast on Instagram. He is scheduled to play one more European festival date, Pukkelpop in Belgium on Aug. 22.
