Jamie Foxx says he was hesitant about becoming a father again at 58, but a conversation with Al Pacino helped change his mind, according to E! News.
In an interview with E! News’ Erin Lim Rhodes alongside his daughter Corinne Foxx, Jamie said he was “a little on the fence” about the news that he and girlfriend Alyce Huckstepp are expecting a baby. He joked that running into Pacino, who became a father again at 83, made him feel more comfortable about it.
Corinne Foxx said she is excited for her dad to welcome another child. She also praised Jamie as both a great father and a great co-worker, noting that they have worked together on Beat Shazam for the past eight years.
Jamie Foxx also said that his near-fatal brain hemorrhage in 2023 changed his outlook on life. He said his daughters supported him through that time and that his family’s embrace of his “new life” means everything to him.
Foxx and Corinne will celebrate a milestone for Beat Shazam when the series airs its 100th episode on ABC on Sept. 7, according to E! News.
