A New Jersey woman was reunited with her wedding ring after accidentally flushing it down a train toilet, according to UPI Odd News.
Julie Angelicola said she realized the ring was missing shortly after leaving the bathroom aboard an NJ Transit train. She reported the loss, and the train was taken out of service.
Employees then lifted the train onto jacks, removed the toilet tank and found the ring on top inside the unit, according to the report.
Angelicola picked up the ring Monday at an NJ Transit Customer Service Center. She said it has major sentimental value and may date to 1905; she also said the initials engraved inside matched the nicknames she and her husband use for each other.
