A New York tequila company marked the FIFA World Cup by assembling what it says is the world’s longest foosball table in Brooklyn, according to UPI Odd News.
Teremana Tequila built the table to stretch 525 feet, which the company said is about the same length as 112 standard foosball tables. The setup was tested on a Brooklyn street on July 11.
A Guinness World Records adjudicator was present to verify the attempt, and the record was confirmed as the world’s longest foosball table. Guinness World Records Adjudicator Michael Empric said the event went smoothly despite warm temperatures and noted that the table stretched more than a city block.
The previous record was 497 feet and 8.4 inches, set in Turkey in 2023. Teremana officials said the table will be divided into standard-sized foosball tables and donated to recreation centers across the country.
