Universal Studios is set to open two Ozzy Osbourne-inspired haunted houses, one at Universal Orlando Resort and another at Universal Studios Hollywood, according to NME. The company said the attractions will help “grow his licensing program around the world.”
The haunted houses will take guests on a “Crazy Train” journey through different chapters of Ozzy’s life and career. Music from several of his solo albums will be featured, including tracks from Blizzard of Ozz, Diary of a Madman, Bark at the Moon, No More Tears, Scream and Ordinary Man.
For the Hollywood version, the story begins in Birmingham, Ozzy’s hometown, and is inspired by Diary of a Madman. Universal said the experience will trace how his stage persona developed and how he became known as the Prince of Darkness.
At Universal Orlando, guests will move through ancient ruins and dark dungeons before the “Crazy Train” takes them into another world shaped by Ozzy’s solo work. Sharon Osbourne and Jack Osbourne both approved the project, calling it a tribute to Ozzy’s boundary-pushing spirit.
Halloween Horror Nights begins at Universal Orlando on August 28 and runs through November 1. In Hollywood, it opens on September 3 and also runs through November 1.
