Nieve Ella has announced her debut album, How Long Will It Take?, along with details of a 2026 UK tour, according to NME.
The album is set for release on October 16 and includes the singles “Drive” and “Bite Back,” as well as the more personal track “Standing On A Pane Of Glass.” It follows three critically acclaimed EPs from the alt-pop artist, who said she is aiming to define her sound more clearly with this release.
Speaking to NME, Ella said the album grew out of a difficult period in which she was dealing with self-doubt and mental health struggles. She said working on the 11-song project helped her cope and that the process felt therapeutic.
Ella also said she wanted to be open about her emotions rather than hide them, adding that the record reflects the ups and downs of growing up in your 20s. She described the music as more ambitious and confident, while still rooted in the personal experiences that shaped it.
In the interview, she said the title track captures the feeling of wanting to escape a stuck situation, while also tying into her more spiritual outlook. She also said she hopes the album makes listeners feel freer and more open.
