Electric Castle 2026 continued on Friday, July 17, with the main stage opening and festivalgoers filling the grounds of Bánffy Castle, according to NME. The event is taking place in Romania, and the report said the crowds were already building for a packed day of music.
Teddy Swims played his first-ever show in Romania and brought a full band with him for the main stage set. NME said his performance mixed soulful vocals with extended instrumental breaks, along with songs including “Funeral,” his new single “Break Up In Reverse,” and a remix of Thomas Rhett’s “Somethin’ ‘Bout a Woman.” He also covered Van Halen’s “Jump” before ending with “Lose Control.”
Quantic also played a two-hour set at the Beach stage, where the area shifted from salsa to house and electronic sounds over the course of the night. According to NME, the performance reflected his long-running mix of Latin music influences and electronic production.
Twenty One Pilots closed out a major slot with their first Romanian show in more than four years. The band’s 90-minute set included songs from “Breach” and “Clancy,” plus “Ride,” which fan Andrew was invited onstage to perform. The night ended with “Seven Nation Army” and a large pyrotechnic display.
The report also said MOCHAKK kept the dancing going with a DJ set that blended techno and house.
