Travis Barker says he and Kourtney Kardashian follow one important rule in their marriage: they do not go to bed angry. Barker shared the approach in a People interview published Aug. 12, saying the couple tries to work through even small misunderstandings before falling asleep.
“We try not to ever fall asleep mad at each other,” the Blink-182 drummer said, explaining that the goal is to clear up issues quickly so they do not end the day feeling disconnected. He gave examples of addressing something as simple as a missed text or a lunch plan that did not line up.
Barker also said Kardashian’s support helped him face some of his deepest trauma, including recovering from the 2008 plane crash that killed four people. He told E! News in June that her love gave him hope and eventually helped him fly again.
The musician, who shares 2-year-old son Rocky Barker with Kardashian, also credited his children with giving him strength. Barker has two children, Landon and Alabama, with ex Shanna Moakler, and is stepfather to her daughter Atiana de la Hoya; Kardashian has three children with ex Scott Disick.
