Production has officially started on The Voice: Celebrity, a new version of NBC’s singing competition that will feature famous contestants instead of unknown singers, according to Billboard.
The special season is scheduled to premiere in 2027. Keke Palmer will host the series, while Joe Jonas will make his debut as a coach alongside returning coaches Queen Latifah and Riley Green.
Unlike the main show, the celebrity edition will include contestants from entertainment and sports. The lineup will include actors, musicians, influencers, athletes, comedians and reality TV stars, with the full cast to be announced later.
Billboard reports that Palmer will be the first host of The Voice other than Carson Daly, though Daly will remain involved as a producer on the celebrity edition. The show will also add new behind-the-scenes features, including Voice Boot Camp, a VIP Room and a Workroom for rehearsal coverage.
Jonas is set to join the coaching panel for the first time. He will be joined by Latifah and Green, who are both also coaching on the upcoming milestone 30th season of The Voice.
