Stone Island, the Italian luxury sportswear brand, has linked up with four hardcore and adjacent bands for a new project called The Calm & The Chaos, according to Stereogum. The bands featured are Angel Du$t, Haywire, High Vis, and Knocked Loose.
The project includes a short film and a photography series that followed the bands while they were touring separately over a six-month period. According to the company’s Instagram account, the artists appear in a mix of current and vintage Stone Island clothing.
Photographer and director Isaac Lamb led the project, and High Vis frontman Graham Sayle wrote and narrated the film. The two-minute short includes Sayle reflecting on the hardcore scene and its sense of belonging, connection, and self-expression.
Stereogum notes that Stone Island has a history tied to English football terrace culture, and says the brand’s move into hardcore has sparked some mixed reactions online. A tour book connected to the project is scheduled for release in September 2027.
