Joan Jett has canceled her upcoming tour dates as she recovers from surgery, according to NME.
The rocker had been set to perform in Costa Mesa, California, and Louisville, Kentucky, in September. Her team said on Instagram stories that she recently underwent orthopedic surgery after suffering a fractured vertebrae.
In the statement, Jett said the decision was made in close consultation with her doctors. It added that she will spend this time focusing on physical therapy and the healing process.
The message also noted that Jett is hoping to return to the stage in the future and continue performing for years to come.
