Rush are reportedly in talks for a residency at the Sphere in Las Vegas, according to NME.
The report comes while the Canadian prog rock band is in the middle of its ‘Fifty Something’ tour, featuring Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson alongside drummer Anika Nilles. The tour is currently underway in North America and is set to continue in the UK, Europe and South America in 2027.
According to claims cited by NME from The Sun, discussions about the residency have been going on for some time, and a deal could be finalized in the coming weeks. One source said Rush’s catalog, history and live reputation make the band a strong fit for the venue.
There has been no official confirmation from Rush or the Sphere. Fansite posts and comments from SiriusXM host Eddie Trunk have also suggested the residency could include as many as 18 shows, but that has not been confirmed.
The Sphere opened in 2023 and has already hosted residencies from acts including U2, Phish, Dead & Company, the Eagles and the Backstreet Boys. Metallica has also confirmed a run at the venue, while other artists have been the subject of similar rumors.
