In 2024, Gallagher had fueled speculation by saying a new album was already finished, before later admitting he was joking. He also said at the time that there was “no Oasis album in the making.”
More recently, Gallagher explained that the pressure around a potential record is a major reason the band is not moving forward with one. In response to a fan asking for a new Oasis album, he said he was not prepared for the criticism if it failed to meet huge expectations, and added that the group should focus on playing shows.
Gallagher also answered questions from other fans about what a new album might sound like, saying it would still sound like Oasis. While a new record appears unlikely, he has continued to hint that a 2027 Oasis tour could happen, though nothing has been confirmed.
