Phoebe Bridgers has released a new music video for “I Can’t Wait” as her album Lost Weekend arrives, according to Rolling Stone.
The song appears near the end of the track list and features Geese frontman Cameron Winter on backing vocals, though he is credited under the name “Son-John Johnson.” Winter joked that he would have to call his lawyer when asked about the credit.
The video was directed by Chris Maggio and Pablo Rochat and shows Los Angeles from the perspective of a bug. Scenes include the insect moving through guitars and flying over liquor stores, supermarkets, and the Glendale roller rink where Bridgers recently held an album listening party.
Lost Weekend is Bridgers’ first solo album in six years, following 2020’s Punisher. She previously shared a video for “Lost Boys” earlier this summer and performed the song on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon during surprise appearances with both young and veteran musicians.
Bridgers is set to begin the Lost Tour next month, with the run starting Sept. 15 in Indianapolis. According to Rolling Stone, the tour will be phone-free, and fans can also experience Lost Weekend in planetariums across North America in the meantime.
