Noah Kahan says he doesn’t expect to run out of inspiration when it comes to singing about New England. In an exclusive interview with E! News, the singer said his songs are deeply connected to where he grew up, and that connection is a big part of his live shows.
Kahan said he often sees fans at concerts who are from New England or have traveled from the region, and he enjoys spotting signs from people representing states like Vermont, Maine, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island. He said those moments make the shows feel like home for everyone involved.
The “Homesick” singer also said he likes talking with fans and friends about their shared ties to the region. He added that when he has time off, he tries to go back home, turn off his phone and spend time in the place that shaped him.
According to E! News, Kahan’s songs have often reflected his upbringing, including tracks like “Stick Season” and “Mess.” He said he is proud to write about where he is from and wants to keep using his music to show people what Vermont and New England mean to him, noting that he will “never really get tired” of writing about the area.
