Lollapalooza faced major delays after severe flooding hit the festival grounds in Chicago, according to NME. Heavy overnight rain left parts of Hutchinson Field muddy and waterlogged, forcing organisers to push back the schedule.
The festival said doors were first delayed until 2 p.m. on Saturday before later updating fans that entry would begin at 3 p.m. Box office opening was moved to 1 p.m. as crews worked to clean up the site.
The change in timing caused several performances to be cancelled or cut short. Cortis performed for 40 minutes instead of their planned 50, while Wolf Alice’s set was reduced from an hour to 40 minutes.
The 2026 edition of Lollapalooza opened on July 30 and features artists including Olivia Dean, Charli XCX, Tate McRae, Lorde, The xx, John Summit, Jennie and The Smashing Pumpkins, along with Wolf Alice and other acts across multiple genres.
