Monica Barbaro says one of the biggest warning signs on a date is when the other person never asks a single question about her, according to E! News.
In an exclusive interview at the Aug. 3 premiere of her new film One Night Only, Barbaro said she has heard stories from friends about dates where the other person did all the talking and showed no curiosity about them.
The Top Gun: Maverick actress said that kind of behavior is a “red flag” and that she does not see the relationship moving forward when someone takes no interest in the other person.
Barbaro has also spoken before about the importance of authenticity in relationships, telling Australia’s Nine.com in February that trying to project perfection can leave people disappointed. She said being genuine is essential and added, “show up.”
Barbaro and Andrew Garfield were first linked in February 2025, though both have kept details of their relationship private. Garfield told Vanity Fair in November that his private life feels deeply personal and has not become easier to discuss over time.
