Jelly Roll says he is taking a break from performing to focus on healing, less than a month after finalizing his divorce from Bunnie Xo. According to E! News, he shared the update with fans during a recent show in Salt Lake City.
The Grammy winner, whose real name is Jason DeFord, told the crowd that he planned to do his last show for a year or two in Colorado Springs before stepping away. He later completed what was described as his final show on July 30, thanking the audience for the opportunity.
Bunnie Xo, whose real name is Alisa DeFord, has said the split was amicable. On a since-deleted June episode of her Dumb Blonde podcast, she said the former couple would continue co-parenting and described Jelly Roll as her best friend.
She also said there was no cheating involved and that their July 17 divorce was handled as well as possible. Both have said they are ending the marriage on good terms and are focusing on what comes next.
