Margaret Qualley drew attention at the London premiere of The Dog Stars on Aug. 20 when she wore Chanel’s barefoot sandals, according to E! News.
The unusual shoes featured only a heel with the Chanel logo and a strap across the foot, leaving the toes and balls of the feet exposed. Qualley paired them with a fringed black V-neck dress from Chanel.
The footwear first sparked conversation in April when Chanel creative director Matthieu Blazy introduced it in the brand’s resort 2027 collection. E! News reported that the shoes were not made available on Chanel’s website.
Online reactions to Qualley’s look were mixed, with some fans questioning the design. The actress has previously spoken about feeling self-conscious about her feet after years as a ballerina, including during her work on Once Upon a Time...in Hollywood.
