Diane Warren has adopted a baby pig that gained attention after roaming the streets of West Hollywood, according to E! News.
The 11-week-old pig was rescued on Aug. 15 and brought to the West Los Angeles Animal Services Center after no owner came forward to claim it. A silent auction was then held on Aug. 20 for four people who wanted to adopt the animal.
Marcia Zwilling, managing director of the Diane Warren Foundation, told ABC7 that Warren saw the news coverage and immediately asked for the pig to be rescued. The songwriter then won the adoption process and brought the pig home.
The pig will live at Warren’s seven-acre animal sanctuary in Malibu, where Zwilling said it will have plenty of space, daily salads and other animal companions. Warren joked to ABC7 that she lost Oscars but won a pig, and said she thinks the pig’s name should be Hollywood.
