Little Whiskers Animal Rescue is partnering with the International Association of Fire Fighters and Maricopa Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 78 on a 2027 calendar fundraiser, according to InMaricopa.
The calendar pairs local firefighters and police officers with furry companions in photos shot and edited by Maricopa photographer Victor Moreno. Proceeds will support the Maricopa Shelter Project.
Little Whiskers president Brittney McCarthy said the rescue is currently a volunteer-run, foster-based nonprofit with 10 homes helping with animal intake and care. The group is raising money for a permanent brick-and-mortar shelter.
The calendars are priced at $35 and can be purchased at Earthwise Pet Supply or through the Little Whiskers website. McCarthy said the group hopes to sell at least 400 calendars and bring in about $10,000 in profit for the shelter, as well as the firefighters association and police lodge.
