Lewis Capaldi says a third album is on the way after he finishes the rest of his summer shows. The singer shared the update while performing on the main stage at Sziget Festival in Budapest, Hungary, according to NME.
Capaldi told the crowd that he still had six more gigs left this summer before he would take time away to make a new record. When fans cheered, he promised to return as soon as he possibly could.
During the set, Capaldi also spoke briefly about the difficult period he has faced since his last appearance at the festival, saying he had gone through a “mental breakdown” but now felt good. He encouraged the audience to enjoy the moment and keep the atmosphere light.
The performance came in front of a large crowd and included a cover of Creedence Clearwater Revival’s “Have You Ever Seen the Rain.” Capaldi, who has previously spoken about his public breakdown and Tourette’s diagnosis, was playing Sziget for the third time after earlier appearances in 2018 and 2022.
