Lionsgate has revealed a new 10th-anniversary poster for La La Land with one noticeable change: Ryan Gosling’s hand now matches Emma Stone’s raised pose, according to E! News.
The studio shared the updated image on Instagram on July 21 and described it as “a minor adjustment.” The original poster showed the two stars mid-dance from the song “A Lovely Night,” with Gosling’s hand tilted flat while Stone’s was angled upward.
Fans quickly reacted online, with some jokingly mourning the loss of what they called the “La La Hand.” Several commenters asked for the original version to be restored.
According to E! News, Gosling had already seen the new poster before it was posted and approved it. He has previously said he regretted changing the choreography because he thought the flat hand would look cool, later realizing the original move would have worked better.
