Keath Ósk, known for work under the Yaelokre name, has announced a new solo era with a debut album titled Foreword and a new version of the single “And The Hound,” according to NME.
The album is due out on September 4 through Atlantic Records and revisits songs originally released as Yaelokre. Ósk said the project gives them a chance to close the first chapter of Yaelokre while introducing their music in their own right.
Compared with the earlier releases, the new versions are said to lean into a broader sound, with brass, woodwinds and touches of alt-pop, hip-hop and jazz. Ósk also worked on the record with South London writer, producer and composer Jack Hardman, who records as Good Dog.
The album includes a cover of Bonnie Tyler’s “Holding Out For A Hero.” Ósk will support the release with a world headline tour beginning October 7 in Europe, then continuing in North America on November 9, with dates running through December 20 in Houston.
