Sharon Osbourne says fans will not have to wait long for news about Ozzfest 2027. In a new interview with Metal Hammer, she said an official announcement is coming “soon” and confirmed the festival is expected to return to Villa Park in Birmingham.
Osbourne first spoke earlier this year about bringing back the long-running event, which began in 1996. She previously said the plan had her late husband Ozzy Osbourne’s blessing, and also teased that the festival could include a U.S. leg.
Asked about the lineup, Osbourne said she and others are “speaking to people” but would not reveal names yet. She added that the Birmingham edition could be one or two nights, saying that decision would be up to the fans.
In the same interview, Osbourne again defended the planned AI-powered avatar of Ozzy Osbourne. She pushed back against criticism that the project is a “money grab,” saying Ozzy loved the idea and that she has discussed it for years.
Osbourne said the goal is to keep her husband’s work visible rather than relying on the same old footage. She also said fans who do not like the idea do not have to take part.
