Joe Rogan appears to have finally heard of Turnstile, according to Stereogum. The podcaster discussed the hardcore band during the latest episode of The Joe Rogan Experience.
Rogan was joined by Shane Gillis, Mark Normand, and Ari Shaffir, who was wearing a Last Dinner Party shirt. Their conversation shifted while they were talking about PSY, best known for "Gangnam Style," and Gillis noticed Shaffir working a Turnstile reference into the discussion.
During the exchange, Gillis said he was familiar with Turnstile’s earlier material and mentioned "Generator" from the band’s 2018 album Time & Space. The others then joked about older songs from the group’s catalog, including tracks from the Step 2 Rhythm EP and Nonstop Feeling.
Rogan did not seem especially interested at first and asked whether the band was "cumcore" after being told they were hardcore. The group later watched the combined "Seein' Stars" and "Birds" music video, and Normand said the world was healing.
