John Summit said Monday that he is canceling the rest of his August tour dates so he can rest ahead of his fall arena tour, according to Billboard.
The decision removes him from the lineups for four European festivals: Pukkelpop in Belgium, UNO Malta, Creamfields in the U.K. and Touquet Music Beach Festival in France. In an Instagram Stories post, Summit said he needed time to “recharge” before the tour and noted that he rarely makes this kind of change.
Summit has had a busy run this summer, including headlining Lollapalooza, performing at his [UNVRS] Ibiza residency and playing festivals such as Ultra Europe, Tomorrowland and Canada’s Cowboy’s Music Festival.
The arena tour is tied to his April album CTRL ESCAPE, which reached No. 9 on Billboard’s Top Dance Albums chart. The 21-date North American tour begins Oct. 1 in Champaign, Illinois, and now ends Dec. 12 at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. Before that, he still has September dates scheduled in Bogotá, São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, plus his Experts Only Festival in New York and a Las Vegas show at LIV Nightclub.
