Jenelle Evans marked her son Jace Evans’ 17th birthday with a heartfelt Instagram tribute and a carousel of throwback photos, according to E! News. In her post, the Teen Mom alum wrote that being a teenager can be hard and said Jace seems to handle it well.
Evans, 34, shares Jace with ex Andrew Lewis. She also has a son, Kaiser Griffith, with ex Nathan Griffith and a daughter, Ensley Eason, with ex-husband David Eason.
The birthday post comes after Evans publicly discussed Jace’s wellbeing earlier this year. According to E! News, her representative confirmed in March that Jace had been checked into a treatment center after an incident in February in which he allegedly pulled a gun on his grandmother.
In April, Evans said on the La Femme Talk podcast that she had been working behind the scenes to help her son and that he was in a safe place. She also asked followers and family members for space as her family dealt with the situation.
