Jayden Adams’ longtime partner, Aqueelah Adendorf, is mourning his death after the South African soccer star died at age 25, according to E! News.
In a July 11 Instagram post, Adendorf wrote that she had no words for the pain she was feeling and described Adams as her love, her greatest supporter and her best friend. She shared photos of the two together and said she would carry his love with her forever.
Adendorf and Adams shared a 5-year-old daughter. In her tribute, she said part of her heart left with him and added that she would miss him every day.
Earlier on July 11, South Africa’s minister of sports, arts and culture, Gayton McKenzie, announced Adams’ sudden death. McKenzie said the cause had not yet been confirmed and urged people not to speculate while the matter is being investigated.
Adams, a midfielder for Mamelodi Sundowns, played in all three of South Africa’s group matches at the 2026 World Cup just two weeks before his death, according to the report.
