Georgina Rodríguez is pushing back against body shamers after online comments about recent photos of her on a boat, according to E! News.
In an Instagram post on Aug. 4, Rodríguez said she had seen a range of reactions to the bathing suit selfies, including criticism and support. She noted that people seem to make her body a topic of discussion every summer.
The 32-year-old said her body will change over time, adding that she hopes that continues for many years because it would mean she is still alive. She also said she wants her three daughters to grow up understanding that a person’s worth should not depend on appearance or the opinions of strangers.
Rodríguez said her confidence is also shaped by her family and by Cristiano Ronaldo, whom she described as reminding her to focus on what really matters. She added that she values her work and accomplishments, including her business ventures, more than fitting into someone else’s beauty standard.
