Elastica have announced an expanded deluxe reissue of their self-titled debut album, according to NME. The package will include rarities and B-sides, and the vinyl edition will come with a poster recreated from the band’s original album advert.
Limited edition LP pre-orders will also receive a flexi disc of “Cleopatra” from 1995. Rough Trade Records is handling the release, which is scheduled to come out on October 2.
Elastica said they are proud of the album and what it stands for, adding that it is special to see the songs still matter to listeners 30 years later. The band originally released the record in 1995, and it became a defining Britpop album after topping the UK Albums Chart.
The debut featured the singles “Connection,” “Line Up” and “Stutter.” Elastica formed in 1992 after guitarist and singer Justine Frischmann and drummer Justin Welch left Suede, later releasing a second and final album, The Menace, in 2000 before splitting up in 2001.
