Denzel Curry is once again showing how comfortable he is in the hardcore scene. According to Stereogum, he joined Long Island band Pain Of Truth for two California shows last week.
On Wednesday in Los Angeles at Proyecto, Curry appeared on the band’s song “The Test,” bringing strong energy to the performance. Stereogum noted that he also joined Pain Of Truth again three days later at Warped Tour in Long Beach.
The rapper has spent years crossing paths with hardcore, from festival appearances to collaborations with bands like Knocked Loose. Earlier this year, he teamed up with Knocked Loose on the song “Hive Mind,” and he is scheduled to tour with them this fall.
After the shows, Curry posted that he was “slowly flirting” with the idea of making a hardcore tape and said that if it took off, he might rap less. He also praised Pain Of Truth’s new single “Unforgiven” and Drain’s 2025 album ...Is Your Friend, according to Stereogum.
