Danny Ramirez says his Top Gun: Maverick castmates have stayed close since filming the 2022 movie. In an interview with E! News at Chime's 2026 MLS All-Star Game, Ramirez told Erin Lim Rhodes that Lewis Pullman is now one of his closest friends.
Ramirez said he, Pullman and Monica Barbaro formed a tight trio during production and kept up a group chat they nicknamed “The Bloobs.” He said the name came from a day on set in San Diego when he found rotten blueberries in his mini fridge.
According to E! News, Ramirez and Pullman have continued spending time together since the film wrapped. Ramirez said he lived in Pullman's guesthouse for a while and has also developed projects with him.
Ramirez added that Pullman appears in his directorial debut, Baton, which is set to premiere later this year. He said working with friends has been a key part of his creative process and called Pullman a “dream collaborator.”
