A screening of Spider-Man: Brand New Day at a movie theater in Colombia was evacuated after the room filled with a foul odor, according to UPI Odd News.
The incident happened at the Cine Colombia cinema inside the Plaza Bocagrande shopping mall in Cartagena. Video from the scene shows moviegoers, including one person dressed as Spider-Man, gathering in the lobby after leaving the theater.
Witnesses compared the smell to flatulence, but the cause has not been confirmed. One theory is that a patron may have had a medical issue that caused a large release of gas, while another is that a stink bomb may have been used as a prank.
Cine Colombia and local authorities have not publicly commented on the incident.
