Collin Gosselin is set to return to television as part of the season five cast of Fox’s Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test, according to E! News. Nearly a decade has passed since the end of the Jon & Kate Plus 8 spinoff Kate Plus 8.
Gosselin announced the news on Instagram on July 15, saying he was excited for viewers to see him take on the show’s challenges. He wrote that the experience was special and that he met some incredible people along the way.
He joins a cast that also includes Full House actress Candace Cameron Bure and former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Brandi Glanville, according to E! News. Former politician George Santos also said on Instagram that fans will see a life-changing experience unfold on the show.
Fox says the new season premieres Sept. 24 and will take place in a hostile environment in the jungles of Malaysia. The network says recruits will face difficult conditions and tasks, including searches of an underground bunker, a supply retrieval suspended above the jungle floor and chemical gassing during another challenge.
The show’s description says there will be no votes or eliminations, only survival, as the celebrities learn to adapt without glamour in the middle of the competition.
