Chloe Fineman says she is stepping away from Saturday Night Live after seven seasons on the long-running late-night sketch series, according to E! News.
In an Instagram post shared July 16, the 37-year-old comedian said she felt it was time for her “next chapter” and described her run on the show as the “greatest privilege” of her life.
Fineman also thanked show creator and executive producer Lorne Michaels, along with the people working behind the scenes, saying she was grateful for the chance to be part of the production. She said the experience pushed her creatively and that the people at the show feel like family.
She added that leaving is difficult, but said it feels like the right moment. Fineman said she does not expect to be too far from the show, even as she moves on to what comes next.
