Iron Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson has revealed that he is working on a new solo album, according to NME. The record is being made at Dave Grohl’s Studio 606 in Northridge, California, with producer Brendan Duffey.
Dickinson said in a new interview with VSX that the album is a standalone project, though one song has a connection to his 2024 release The Mandrake Project. He described the new material as “heavy as shit” and said he is not trying to duplicate what he has done before.
He also said he wants to keep changing the feel of his music rather than settling into one formula. Dickinson compared the creative process to seeing the same person in a different light, saying he tries to find new nuance in his work.
According to NME, the album was recorded in January and February and is due for release in 2027 on BMG. Dickinson’s last solo album before The Mandrake Project was Tyranny Of Souls in 2005.
