Rolling Stone and Sonesta International Hotels hosted the second stop of the 2026 Musicians on Musicians live tour at the Sonesta Denver Downtown, according to Rolling Stone. The Denver event featured live interviews with Big Gigantic members Dominic Lalli and Jeremy Salken, along with singer-songwriter Trevor Hall.
The discussion was moderated by Rolling Stone deputy editor and Nashville Now podcast host Joseph Hudak. Since both acts are based in the Denver/Boulder area, the panel focused in part on how the local music scene and audience shape their work.
Lalli said Denver is a place where artists can try new ideas and find a crowd that is colorful, diverse and open to different sounds. Salken said Colorado audiences are interactive and willing to “ride the ride,” while Hall praised fans for being just as happy at a Grateful Dead show, an EDM set or a folk concert.
After the conversation, the artists performed for a sold-out crowd in the ballroom. Big Gigantic played a jazz-influenced set mixing electronic and organic sounds, while Hall performed songs including “Bowl of Light,” and the night ended with an impromptu jam on “We in a Different Room” after Hall brought Lalli onstage to play saxophone.
Rolling Stone reported that the audience included fans who traveled from out of state, local fans who wanted to see Hall in a smaller setting, and one expectant mother who had a front-row seat on her due date. Sonesta said Sonesta Travel Pass members can look ahead to the next Musicians on Musicians event in San Juan in December.
