Roger Taylor says Queen touring again depends largely on Brian May

Roger Taylor has spoken about whether Queen might tour again, saying the decision would depend largely on Brian May. In comments to BBC Radio 2, Taylor said gearing up a Queen tour would be a major effort, but added that he would be happy to do it if he and May both wanted to.

According to NME, Taylor said he loves performing live and has always enjoyed it. He described Adam Lambert as having an “incredible voice” and said Queen has been working with Lambert for some time.

Queen’s most recent live shows took place in Asia in early 2024, following their Rhapsody Tour in North America in 2023 and in the UK and Europe in 2022. Taylor’s remarks come after May said earlier this year that he would not tour in the US, calling it a dangerous place.

May has also previously said Queen would not headline Glastonbury because of the politics of the people who run it. He and Taylor have both indicated that while new music and occasional live activity remain possible, large-scale touring may not be likely anytime soon.
