Zaxby’s is set to open at South Bridge Marketplace, adding another chicken restaurant to the growing shopping center in Maricopa, according to InMaricopa.
Developer Thompson Thrift said in a social media post last week that the fast-food chain is one of the dining tenants planned for the center, which is under construction off John Wayne Parkway and Honeycutt Avenue.
The article says Zaxby’s will move into one of the restaurant spaces at the site. Two spaces are currently being negotiated: a 1,400-square-foot spot between Panera Bread and Angry Chickz, and a larger 3,200-square-foot space just south of that area.
South Bridge Marketplace already has several confirmed tenants, including Aldi, Einstein Bros. Bagels, Tropical Smoothie, Club Pilates and European Wax Center. Construction on the project began in April 2024 with a Lowe’s retail and garden center, and the continued work includes 60,000 square feet for a grocery store plus 10,000 square feet for restaurant and retail space, according to InMaricopa.
