Billboard reports that Wizkid will headline the opening night of Detty December Fest 2026, becoming the first confirmed top act for the event. The Grammy-winning Afrobeats star is set to perform on Dec. 18.
The festival will run from Dec. 18 through Dec. 30 and is billed as a two-week celebration of music, culture, food, fashion and entertainment. Tickets are already on sale through the festival’s official website, according to Billboard.
Livespot360, the production company behind past performances by Cardi B in Nigeria and Ghana, will produce the festival again this year. Last year’s debut edition drew more than 40,000 attendees and featured artists including Busta Rhymes, Gunna, Tiwa Savage, Diamond Platnumz, Phyno, Wande Coal and Wizkid.
Organizers also say a second stage will be added for 2026. Wizkid will open the main Festival Stage, while the new Pulse Stage will highlight emerging artists and newer sounds shaping African music.
