Roxy Music have announced a major expanded reissue of their 1973 album For Your Pleasure and shared an unreleased 1971 demo of “Grey Lagoons,” according to NME.
The new 2026 edition will include a wide range of archive material, such as unheard studio recordings, songwriting sketches, rehearsals, outtakes, live sessions and rare performances. NME reports that the release looks back at the making of the band’s second album, which helped build on the glam rock sound of their debut.
Bryan Ferry said he felt the pressure of writing for an audience after the success of the first album, and described how he wrote key songs while staying alone in a cottage in Derbyshire. He said those sessions were crucial to the making of For Your Pleasure.
The expanded release will be available in several formats, including 2LP, 2CD, Blu-Ray, Dolby Atmos and a 3CD+1DVD Super Deluxe Edition. NME says the deluxe set will also include a 116-page book with archive material, essays, photos, lyric notes and other memorabilia.
