Two women set three world records during the 66th annual Lumberjack World Championships in Hayward, Wisconsin, according to UPI Odd News.
Czech competitor Karolina Urbanova broke one record in the Women's Underhand Chop, cutting through 11 inches of white pine in 21.28 seconds to win the event. She also set a new mark in the Women's Standing Chop by cutting through an 11-inch log in 19.38 seconds.
Meredith Ingbertson, a competitor from Hayward, added another record for the hometown crowd in the Women's Boom run. She sprinted across a boom floating on water and back in 13.78 seconds.
The championships drew more than 100 competitors from nine countries and 16 states. In the women's division, Canadian Stephanie Naud was named overall champion for the second time, while Australia's Brayden Meyer won the men's title in his first appearance.
