Chris Evans’ return as Steve Rogers is getting a fresh look in the new Avengers: Doomsday trailer, which shows the character with longer hair instead of his familiar military crew cut, according to E! News.
The trailer, released July 20, also puts a spotlight on Thor, played by Chris Hemsworth, who says, “We’re going to need a miracle.” Thor is among the returning original heroes featured in the footage as the team prepares for another fight.
Rogers, who handed the Captain America shield to Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson after Avengers: Endgame in 2019, appears to be back to help in the new conflict. In one moment, Thor reacts to Rogers’ return by saying, “It’s not possible.”
Even so, Rogers seems to prove he is really there when he is able to lift Thor’s hammer. The film is set to hit theaters on Dec. 18.
