Truck Festival food stall shut down after dozens report illness

A food stall at Truck Festival 2026 was shut down after dozens of attendees said they became ill, according to NME.

Festival-goers posted on social media that they felt unwell after eating from the Yorky Roast stall at the Oxfordshire event last weekend. Truck Festival said it was first alerted on Sunday morning, July 26, after its on-site medical team heard from a number of people with similar symptoms.

In a statement, the festival said its health and safety team began an immediate investigation and identified a third-party food vendor as the suspected source. The stall was removed from operation within 90 minutes of the first report, and the matter was reported that same day to Vale of White Horse District Council’s environmental health team.

The council said it was aware of a potential food poisoning outbreak and was investigating alongside the catering company, Truck Festival and the UK Health Security Agency. Truck Festival 2026 ran at Hill Farm in Steventon, Oxfordshire, from July 23 to 26 and drew a record attendance of 27,500 people.
