Travis Barker recalls getting too high with Cypress Hill before a Blink-182 show

Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker says he and Tom DeLonge once got so high with Cypress Hill before a concert that they spent the whole show wanting it to end, according to NME.

In a new interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music, Barker said he rarely performs under the influence because he wants to put on the best show possible. He said there was one exception during a tour with No Doubt and Cypress Hill.

Barker recalled that B-Real and Sen Dog of Cypress Hill persuaded him and DeLonge to smoke before the final show of the tour. He said he initially refused, then agreed after being told the tour would be over and they would be heading home afterward.

The drummer described the performance as unusually long and said he and DeLonge both wanted to leave partway through. Barker also noted that bassist Mark Hoppus was sober that night and did not realize how difficult the show felt for his bandmates.

Barker is set to release his documentary Travis Barker: Louder Than Fear on Hulu and Disney+ on August 13. The film looks at his life and career, including the 2008 plane crash that nearly killed him and the recovery that followed.
