TOMORA have spoken to NME about hearing their music used in UK World Cup TV coverage, just as Norway and England prepare to meet in tonight’s knockout match in Miami.
The duo is made up of Norwegian artist Aurora and The Chemical Brothers’ Tom Rowlands. According to NME, two songs from their 2026 debut album Come Closer have been featured in the tournament’s television coverage, including the track “Somewhere Else” on BBC coverage and “In A Minute” in ITV promotions.
Asked about the use of the songs, TOMORA said they were delighted and felt football and music share the ability to bring people together. They also said they were pleased to see emotions on display through the tournament and sent special love to Ivory Coast fans who were unable to travel to see their teams play.
The pair also looked ahead to the match between their home countries. Aurora said she believed Norway had won people’s hearts and could do very well this year, while Rowlands said he thought England’s chances of reaching the final were extremely high.
