Tom Holland says Zendaya brings out his best as an actor. Speaking with E! News at the Los Angeles premiere of their new Marvel movie on July 27, Holland said she “raises the game” and makes every scene better when she is in it.
Holland added that Zendaya is truthful in the choices she makes as an actress and said he feels lucky whenever they share the screen. The two star together in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and they have appeared in several Spider-Man films before that.
In addition to the Spider-Man series, Holland and Zendaya also worked together on The Odyssey, which was recently released. Holland said he did not have as much screen time with Zendaya in that film as with Matt Damon, but he still spoke warmly about her role in it.
Zendaya has also praised Holland’s work as Spider-Man. In a June interview with Fandango’s Big Ticket, she said he handles the weight of the character with grace and clearly cares about what Spider-Man means to fans, especially young viewers.
