Apple TV+ has confirmed that The Morning Show will end with its fifth season, which is set to premiere in 2027, according to E! News.
Jennifer Aniston, who plays Alex Levy, said Apple has supported the creative vision for the series from the start and called the experience of working with the cast and crew a privilege. She added that the team is excited to share the final season.
Aniston also said the show’s ending was planned with intention, giving the writers and producers time to bring the story to a close in a way that honors the characters.
Reese Witherspoon, who stars as Bradley Jackson, described filming the series as an “honor of a lifetime.” She said the show has always been about more than a newsroom, pointing to the importance of press freedom and the journalists who protect it.
The final season will continue the story after the UBA-NBN merger, with the newsroom facing questions about how to report the news as public trust in media weakens. The press release also said Jeff Daniels, Reneé Rapp, Jesse Williams, Sean Hayes and Lizzy Caplan will join the returning cast.
