Michael “The Miz” Mizanin is crediting his family for keeping him motivated both in and out of the ring. Speaking with USA Sports’ Renee Montgomery at the 2026 ESPY Awards on July 15, the WWE star said his wife, Maryse Mizanin, is his biggest supporter.
The Miz said Maryse is “my champion at home,” noting that viewers may remember her from “Miz & Mrs.” or from her time as a two-time WWE Divas Champion. He also said his daughters, Monroe Sky, 8, and Madison Jade, 6, push him to aim higher.
“They keep me going,” he said, adding that his girls inspire him to do more than he ever thought possible. The Miz and Maryse were married in the Bahamas in 2014.
He has spoken before about how becoming a father changed his outlook. In a 2020 interview with E!’s Daily Pop, he said he no longer felt the need to have a son and was happy raising two daughters, whom he called incredible and full of energy.
Maryse has also shared her appreciation for the way The Miz parents their children. In a Father’s Day Instagram post in June, she wrote that watching him be their dad is one of her favorite things in life and praised the love and attention he gives their family every day.
